Information is provided to members through monthly newsletters, special bulletins, and at monthly membership meetings. NESCA educates its members through an extensive array of management seminars, supervisory training programs and OSHA training provided through a educational partnership with the General Building Contractors of NYS and Eastern Contractors Association. Advocacy is provided by
NESCA through comprehensive representation of member interests before the State Legislature, public contracting agencies and the business community.
Since its inception in 1971, NESCA has grown into the largest regional subcontractors association in the nation. The association’s growing membership includes both union and open-shop companies.

We are deeply grateful to NESCA for your intervention and phone call to
OGS regarding the problem we had getting paid for two change orders and
retainage on one of their projects. After your call, the “glacier”
started to visibly move. Previous to your phone call on our behalf, I
had contacted my State Assemblyman about this problem and never received
as much as a letter or phone call or any acknowledgement of my cry for
help. Just goes to show “who has the juice.” We are very close to
finally closing the project out which will free up bonding. Thanks
again for your efforts on our behalf.

President, Western Building Restoration Co., Inc.
As an accountant with
many construction-related clients, the information I receive year after
year form NESCA has given me a much better sense of what these clients
go through every day in managing their businesses, and I’ve been able to
pass much of what I learn along to them. In doing so I’ve been better
able to serve their accounting needs.
- Robert Kind,
Shareholder, Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPA’s, P.C.
On several projects
we were involved in, NESCA helped us get over $270,000 in payments being
held by the State quickly released. In a situation that had dragged on
for months, NESCA’s involvement produced results in a matter of days.
- Roger Jones,
Treasurer, Campito Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
the passage of NESCA’s 36th legislative victory. This new
law bans contract provisions that require subcontractors to exhaust
their lien remedies before proceeding directly against the general
contractor or the contractor’s payment bond. Just in case we needed any
more proof - NESCA serves its members better than any other oganization
of its kind!

President, S&O Construction Services, Inc.
